S.W.A.N 
is to be an organization supporting victims and survivors of domestic violence, providing victims and survivors with the
necessary tools and education to become empowered and to positively change their lives through advocacy, safety, support and creating ways to build more
awareness in the community through education about the Domestic Violence epidemic while maximizing the effectiveness of every dollar contributed. S.W.A.N.
welcomes women who have experienced any type of abuse and/or violence from an intimate partner or family member, or women who have witnessed and/or
experienced abuse as a child.

On the average, a woman in the United States is battered by a partner every 12 seconds. At least 30 percent of all murders of women in America are committed by intimate partners.
In the Christian community, one in every four women experiences family violence. How do we address this harsh reality?
Women and families experiencing domestic violence are looking for a safe place to tell the secret of the oppression they are experiencing and to live and thrive with renewed hope. They are looking for safe people who will love and support them. They are looking for a safe church where they will be believed and helped.
